1986 - the idea of the T5 Miniature-Tensiometer has been developed.
The GSF Research Centre in Munich demanded for a small, precise and reliable Tensiometer for the controlled irrigation of experimental potted plants which partly were exposed to defined water stress.
The first UMS product was born - and still is popular.
Since 1991 UMS offers the complete equipment for environmental measuring systems - with UMS made sensor technique, competence and experience in planning of individual solutions and development of innovative products.

Our team of engineers and technicians takes care of the development and production of environmental instrumentation.
